Reporting Rapid COVID-19 Test Results

Self-tests for COVID-19, also known as “at-home” or “over-the-counter” tests, are intended to be used to detect current infection and provide rapid results to the public.
If your result came back POSITIVE, this indicates that the test has detected the virus. It is recommended you take the following steps:
  • * Find a local testing site and have a PCR test performed for confirmation.
  • * Self-isolate from others for at least 5 days; calculate your remaining time at home.
  • * Tell your close contacts.
  • * Monitor your symptoms.
  • * Update your health care provider and seek medical care, if necessary.
